Message hold just as much if not more than a allen, torx, or any multitude of fastener drive combinations. If you're basing your dislike on asthetics alone then you should research the grade of fastener before you switch.

The only thing that Boeing uses allen heads for are set-screws on control and lighting knobs and the screws which are connected to plastic clips that hold up the passenger service units. Oh and there's some on the passenger seat recline mechanisms. All low torque stuff.

Kinda strange how all the high torque fasteners are phillips grade of one kind or another? Maybe I should call Boeing and tell them the Phillips head design on all their 737 and 717 aircarft should be changed for Allens because they look better and are more removal friendly. Funny, but I recall more of the low torque Allens being stripped by guys that use worn-out or wrong sized allen keys than I do phillips. Using the proper driver tip, installation and extraction techniques will allow phillips to be removed every time.

If you're worried about the removal of those screws at a later date then remove them and apply antiseize. Reinstall and torque . Oh, you'll need to know the grade of fastener and then have the proper screw type torque wrench. C'mon guys!
